We carved our pumpkins one evening after dinner. Miles did his all by himself - in the group of pictures, his is the big one on the far right. He also really enjoyed lighting the pumpkins by himself. Micah designed his own pumpkin, and we carved it for him. His is the one on the far left. We also got him to touch teh pumpkin guts this year! He touched them, showed us his messy hand, and then immediately went to wash it, and then take off his clothes so he'd be ready to hop into the bath as soon as the pumpkin carving was done. He definitely does not like to feel dirty.
